Course Description

This course provides excellent Hands-on training of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administration. The course provides in-depth insight of the Architecture of Java EE Server and how IBM WebSphere Application Server implements Java EE Server environment. Students will learn how to create WebSphere profiles and configure profile artifacts. Students will learn how to use Administration console application and Command Line Interface to perform Administration Tasks. This course helps students to learn how to configure WebSphere cell, node, servers, resources, security and network deployment. Students will install applications and configure applications. They will learn how to monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance.

  • Understand the Architecture  of Java SE and Java EE Platforms
  • Understand the Architecture of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
  • Install IBM WAS and Configure Profile, Cell, Node and Servers
  • Use scripts to perform operations and set up
  • Handle domain configuration repository
  • Use Administration Console to administer IBM WAS
  • Configure Servers using Administration Console
  • Perform Admin tasks using Use Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Work with JACL and Python Scripts to support CLI
  • Configure JDBC, JMS, Java Mail and Enterprise Resources
  • Configure Virtual hosts, Variables, and Web Server Plugins
  • Configure and Implement Security
  • Monitor the performance using Tivoli Performance Viewer
  • Work with Log files and Perform Troubleshooting Tasks .
