| Course Length - 3 Days | | | | Course Description Weblogic Portal is an enterprise scalable portal platform. Portals allow organizations to build a consistent web presentation for their applications that are deployed on both intra and internets. This class will guide developers through the process of building all the necessary components of a portal applications within Weblogic Workshop. Students will also spend some time administrating portals while deploying campaigns and targeted presentations for particular types of users. This is a hands-on learning experience, with each student having their own Weblogic Server to learn with. | | | You Will Learn How To: At the completion of this course, the student will be able to: - Describe Portal Application development
- Design, Create and Deploy enterprise scalable portals on Weblogic
- Create portlets to allow existing applications to be surfaced simply and easily
- Define PageFlows and surface them in a portlet
- Configure Custom Look and feel components like Skins and Skeletons
- Create Users and Groups for targeting campaigns
- Secure applications based on a users login credentials
- Tune a Weblogic server for maximum performance
| | | Course Prerequisites Participants should have a java development background. Familiarity with building and deploying JSP and Servlet based web applications is essential.
