Course Length - 3 DaysDescriptionThe Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) has become an industry standard peripheral interface for connecting intelligent storage devices, and other media, to personal computers. This course provides a detailed review of the SCSI architecture, with relevant elements from the SCSI-1, -2, and –3 specifications. Hardware and software topics including physical and electrical bus requirements, device configuration, communication and message models, mandatory and optional command sets, and error detection / recovery mechanisms are covered during the 3-day course. PrerequisitesStudents attending the SCSI Architecture class should already have a basic understanding of computer system architecture (Dashcourses’ PC Architecture Overview). Objectives
Who Should AttendThis course is intended for hardware and software design and test engineers who work with SCSI devices, as well as project engineers responsible for overseeing or troubleshooting systems that contain SCSI components. This course or equivalent experience is required prior to taking the I-SCSI Architecture course |
