Training Description

This online CobiT 4.1 Foundations technical training course has been designed to provide candidates with an overall understanding of Control Objectives for IT and Related Technology (COBIT®) helps to support IT Governance within an IT Organization. In addition, the training course has been designed to ensure candidates are prepared for the COBIT® 4.1 Foundations Examination. The COBIT® 4.1 Foundations Examination that can be scheduled by the candidates individually at a convenient time for them following the course.

Training Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the principles and objectives of COBIT®
• Identify and know when to use the various components of COBIT®
• Understand the ITGI's approach to IT Governance and how COBIT® supports this
• Scope and plan IT Management and Governance initiatives based on COBIT®
• Assess IT Management Capability using the COBIT® Maturity Models and Control Objectives
• Plan control improvements using Control Objectives and Control Practices
• Create a Performance Measurement framework using COBIT® Metrics and Scorecards
• Understand how COBIT® aligns with other best practice frameworks and standards such as ITIL® ISO2000®

Prerequisites

Experience and knowledge of IT computing environments would be helpful but it is not essential. Some IT Governance familiarity is helpful but not essential.
