Description

This course contains an exhaustive step-by-step explanation of the features and capabilities for web-based publishing and application interface using the Oracle Portal product, which is built upon the Oracle 10g Application Server Platform.

• Using sophisticated content management features which support large scale collaboration among many users, including content classification, approval routings and shared objects.
• Using high-powered portlets within the portlet repository to obtain content from existing web sites, HTML pages, databases, external and other sources.
• Controlling content appearance and layout using pages, regions, styles and templates.
• Exercising strict control over the access and management of content using privileges and access control lists.
• Implementing search features within portal applications.
